Built of the mellow local Purbeck stone, the mid 19 th century barn provides accommodation for up to 11 people (plus cots). The large open plan ground floor includes a fully fitted contemporary kitchen (cooker,microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and x2 fridges), dining and lounge areas (digital TV, DVD, CD/radio). Also on the ground floor is a twin bedroom and shower room both of which are wheelchair accessible. Two further bedrooms (x1 double with balcony and ensuite bathroom and x1 twin) and bathroom lie on the first floor. Both bedrooms are large enough to accommodate guest beds.

The barn is comfortably furnished throughout with many original works of art. Underfloor heating, a wood burning stove and double glazing make it perfectly suited to a break out of season, often when the scenery and wildlife are equally impressive.

In early summer the fields are a mass of meadow flowers and deer, badgers, foxes and buzzards are regular visitors along with the resident horses and neighbours organic Dorset Downs sheep and Hereford cows. The Barn has a south facing patio and garden and visitors have direct access to paths to the cliffs only 2 fields away. The local leisure centre (swimming pool, gym, sauna, bar and cafe) is nearby and Swanage with it's shops, restaurants, theatre/cinema, steam railway and annual festivals (Jazz, Folk, film and visual arts) is only 1 mile away. No smoking is allowed in the barn. Up to 2 pets are allowed and horses can be accommodated (at extra cost) either on site or in livery in local stables
